1) How does the program work? top

Go to a participating pharmacy that is in the AdvancePCS Pharmacy Network. Don't worry, chances are that your pharmacy will be in the nationwide network of over 55,000 pharmacies. Most major Chain drug stores plus most Independent pharmacies participate in the program. Simply show them your Pharmacy Card and enjoy the savings!

2) How much can I save? top

As a member, you will receive your prescription drugs at the lowest price. Savings over the course of a year could be substantial. Savings will vary based on the type of prescription, the pharmacy you use and where you are located.

During 2000 our members saved on average 21% annually using our Pharmacy Card. Last year alone, our members saved almost $3,000,000 off of retail pricing.

Savings on generic medications can be as high as 90% off the retail price!

3) What does lowest price mean when buying my prescription? top

With our program, participating pharmacies will charge you or your family the lowest (or best) price available in their pharmacy for members on your plan. The price using our card was lower 93% of the time during 2000 than what you would pay without using our card. Sometimes a pharmacy may offer a prescription at an even lower, special price. When this occurs, you will always receive the lower of the two prices.

4) What drugs are covered? top

All legend prescription drugs are covered. A legend drug is a medication that requires a pharmacist to dispense it. Non-legend drugs are over-the-counter medicines that don't have to be dispensed by a pharmacist and are generally not covered by this discount program.

Our program even covers viagra, hair growth, anti-wrinkle agents, infertility medicines, weight control medicines, smoking cessation drugs, ADD/ADHD medicines, etc.

5) I don't see my drug listed in the savings chart. Is it covered? top

Our online Savings Chart is intended to demonstrate the savings you may enjoy with our program. All legend drugs are covered, even if your medication is not listed in the Savings Chart.

6) Can I use your program with my current prescription coverage? top

Pharmacies will not let you use two prescription plans simultaneously (to receive a "double discount"). If you currently have prescription coverage, our program may benefit you until you reach your yearly deductible (if applicable) or if your current plan doesn't cover medication(s) you take.

7) Who is covered? top

Our family program covers all family members in your household. This includes financially dependent relatives no matter what their age.

8) How much does it cost? top
Our individual program is only $4 per month, billed annually. Our family program is only $5 per month, billed annually.
