Introducing our New VP of People & Talent, Sandy Littleford

Sandy Littleford joined RxBenefits seven months ago as Vice President of People and Talent. Prior to this role, Sandy worked in the Human Resources space for ten years. Sandy says the mission of RxBenefits — to make a difference with its members and be an innovative force in the industry — was a drawing factor to join the organization.

As the head of the Human Resources team, Sandy works with the company’s leaders to ensure RxBenefits has the right talent in the right roles to support the company’s growth strategy. She also works with teammates across the organization to make sure the company continues to be a “Best Place to Work” and maintains excellent service to our members.

Sandy says the most challenging aspect of her role is the constantly evolving external environment. So much has changed over the past two years, thanks to the pandemic, from an employee’s expectations perspective as well as the talent market. Therefore, keeping a pulse on the trends in the hiring market is crucial for Sandy. Just a few months into the job, she’s already set multiple goals for her first few years. “RxBenefits has great people and a strong culture. We are growing quickly, and one goal is continuing to have a strong culture in a more virtual environment,” she says.

“I also want to ensure that we have what is needed in place to continue to grow the organization and that we all live up to our company’s values:  Advocate for our Customer, Commit to Innovation, Collaborate with a Purpose, Champion Integrity, and Foster Accountability.”

Having grown up in Bristol, Virginia, attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and moved around the country during her career, Sandy has now settled in Birmingham, Alabama. During her downtime, Sandy enjoys watching her daughter play collegiate soccer at South Alabama, boating on Lake Martin, spending time with friends, and walking. Her family also enjoys volunteering on community projects and supporting the local humane society, where she adopted her dog, Bailey.
